HLTAID001 Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Information about this course:

This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitatio Council (ARC) Guidelines.

Pre-requisite:

There are no pre-requisites for this course.

Target Audience:

Existing workers in the industry who may require CPR training first aid training as recommended by the Australian Resuscitation Council.

Award issued:

Students who successsfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the statement of attainment for:

  • HLTAID0001 Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Initial course duration:

  1. Full course: 3-4 hours face-to-face training
  2. Mixed mode: Completion of pre-course study plus 2.5 hours practical training

Refresher course duration:

  1. Full course: 3-4 hours face-to-face training
  2. Mixed mode: Completion of pre-course study plus 2.5 hours practical training

The pre-course study includes 30 multiple choice questions. You must take the completed paper, or online print out with you to the training course.
